The Fabulous Grayson White

Biography

I Spent most of my formative years studying Sanskrit in egypt, it was while living in the valley of "de jelli babi" among the tribes people of the tundeff that I first discovered my love of music. The tundeff people would hollow out an armadillo and drill several holes along its back to create a primitive instrument that sounded much like a modern saxophone, I soon become a local hero, playing to as many as 12 people, some said that I was possibly the greatest armadillo blower this side of africa, even more said, who's locked the door I need to get out!

I left egypt when a sanskrit translation which should have read "back in five minutes" was mistaken for "take what you want and don't pay" believe me, its an easy mistake as any sanskrit translator will tell you.

On my return to England I found that hollowed out armadillos were hard to come by, I tried several different instruments such as; wasps nest maracas and the little used mink accordion, finally settling for a second hand saxophone, which by some miracle tasted just the same as my old armadillo horn. Since then I have been playing mostly with myself, normally in my bedroom, but since joining the Backline Band I have put all that behind me and I am now scratching out a living as an armadillo blower turned saxophonist, I now can be seen playing with the members of the backline band, mostly on Saturday nights and normally for money.

Once I've sobbered up I might regret this . . . . . . . . . .
